Jemira

Jemira was born in the Southeast Asian country of Indonesia. From a young age, Jemira developed a strong love for dance and performing. She signed up for every opportunity she was given, from dancing at church events to joining the school marching band and learning traditional Indonesian dances. Her family moved around a lot; by the age of 18 she had lived in 6 countries in 3 continents.

Eventually, Jemira landed in Michigan for college where she minored in dance and found her love for Latin and ballroom dancing; she met the love of her life on the dance floor! She found a home at a local ballroom studio there and started to teach there while also helping with marketing and event planning. In 2013, she joined a Bachata team based in Chicago. In 2014, the opportunity to move down to Brevard country, FL came and she started teaching at a ballroom studio in Satellite Beach, where she earned her Silver level certification.

Jemira currently teaches private lessons in Ballroom and Latin dances. She, along with her husband Bambu, direct a Bachata and Salsa team that is focused on dance training and travels to various festivals and congresses around the country to perform and compete.
